TING-YUN CHANG

PhD, Psychology, Vanderbilt University

I am a PhD student at Vanderbilt University, studying Cognition & Cognitive Neuroscience (Major) and Quantitative Methods (Minor). I have the privilege to be mentored by Isabel Gauthier in her Object Perception Lab and work with many other great vision scientists here at Vanderbilt.

I study how we recognize faces and objects and how contexts or experiences influence our recognition performance and abilities. I am interested in visual abilities or advantages associated with music reading experience. I am also interested in how we recognize and represent groups of objects or crowds of people.

Aside from my academic interests, I am an amateur pianist with a teaching certificate from The Victorian College of the Arts at The University of Melbourne. I love exploring food, outdoor activities, and movies and spending time with my family and friends.
